Hehe...it's not the end of the year yet, but i've clearly seen the best of movies and dramas to last till the end of the year. Here are the honour rolls :
.
BEST MOVIE

1) Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
2) The Dark Knight
3) Kung Fu Panda
4) Get Smart
5) The X-files : I Want To Believe

Puffyrazzi's note : Indy pips The Dark Knight due to nostalgic reasons alone. The Dark Knight is one of the best movies i've watched in years. Fantastic! Brilliant!

DISAPPOINTING MOVIES

1) Shutter ( US Version)
2) The Mummy III
3) Forbidden Kingdom

Puffyrazzi's Note : These movies had one similarity. It resulted in me saying "WTF?" at the end of the movie. Even Jet Li and Jackie Chan couldn't save Forbidden Kingdom from the disaster it was.

BEST DVD

1) The Prestige
2) The Bucket List
.
Puffyrazzi's Note : I watched The Prestige without any pre-conceived comments from anyone. Great acting from Christian Bale... too bad he was overshadowed by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight... So many twists and shocks in this movie.

BEST IDOL DRAMA

籃球火 ( Hot Shot)

Puffyrazzi's Note : Only two words are needed for it to be the best for me. Two words "小豬"

BEST TVB DRAMA

法證先鋒II (Forensic Heroes II)

Puffyrazzi's Notes : Watched so many TVB dramas this year... without a doubt this is head and shoulder above the rest. Waiting for Forensic Heroes III...can't wait. Crispy watched this and was outraged by some of the erronous testing practises... LOL

Singapore Flyer

Not long ago, i visited the Singapore Flyer. It has been opened for about 6 months and i finally decided i should pay this new attraction a visit. Wanted to go earlier with my sisters, but my dAjie is afraid of heights, so we decided to spare her the agony.

Here i am posing with the flyer. I couldn't get a complete pic of the ferris wheel, as i would need to capture it from far far away, so decided that the photo of a miniature version in the gift shop should suffice...haha...

Ahhh...on my way up, this is what i saw! The Formula 1 pit-garages still under construction. It was really sunny that day, so everything was crystal clear from our capsule. I was lucky to be there early, so the attendants didn't pack us like sardines into the capsules. There were only four of us inside this one, so there were lots of photo-taking opportunities.

Hey, did i just see a 70% bargain sale in MNG over at Suntec City?? Get me out of here!! Haha... anyway, look how majestic the Benjamin Sheares Bridge seem from this height.

And, here i am posing in another direction. Just near the tip of my head is the twin peaks that we call 'Esplanade'. And just nearer, blocked by the capsule wall, is the floating platform for the National Day Parade '08. I was at the flyer just a day after the Singapore National Day, so i could see workers dismantling the stage as we circled by.

Oohh .... this photo is taken right at the peak of the ride. In this direction, the flyer is moving towards the Central Business District area, and just beside me is the messy array of the currently constructing Integrated Resort @ Marina Bay. Look how empty the capsule beside mine was. On my way down, after the 30 minute ride, the attendants were already packing 10-15 people per capsule.

There it is...money come money come... after a consultation with a feng shui master, the Singapore Flyer changed its rotation direction such that it moves towards the Central Business District, where all the money-making business are.

Gymnastics Falls Montage: 2000 Olympics

I was watching the Beijing Olympics recently and had the opportunity to watch all the Gymnastics events. I sure missed it, all the gymnast whom i've watched in my school days like Lilia Podkopayeva, Shannon Miller, Mo Huilan have all gone. Artistic Gymnastics has also been replaced by what i call 'Robotic Gymnastics'. Here's a montage from 2000 Olympics in Sydney where the women's vault has been controversially set to the wrong height, causing many gymnasts to fall awkwardly. Enjoy!

~Yumminess~

Venue of yumminess : Kuishin-Bo Japanese Buffet in Jurong Point. Why we're willing to dine at this place which is not considered cheap : We're not the ones paying haha...

THE FRIEND : Lai Kwan if you're reading this, stop dieting already! Look how my arms are actually fatter than yours! If you keep having oats for lunch you'll disappear... =(

THE OLD FLAME : Old flame as in the old partner...too bad he's moved on to another jobscope cos i think we rocked the lab... LOL

THE NEWCOMER : Ahhh... my new partner...at first glance i thought she was really soft spoken and does her work slowly at her own pace, totally out of place in our lab. After a month or two, she's getting better, AND noisier...haha...It's nice to have someone around on those cold long nights..

THE MISMATCHES : The 3 men in the photo are pretty unlikely friends, cos they are different as night and day and are of different nationalities as well. But one thing, they're all very hardworking people, with sharp minds and are always handy when it comes to fixing broken stuff.

THE BOSS : My boss, flanked by two of my colleagues... are very uncomfortable in this pic...for unknown reasons...

THE GIRLS : The bunch that always creates the most noise in the lab, be it when they're chatting, laughing or eating... ahh...laughter is the best medicine =P

THE REST : Some of the rest...if you judge a book by its cover, well i guess if you pick a friend purely by looking at this pic, you'll be surprised at how bad it'll turn out...

Diary of a Sick QQ

QQ has been sick and hurt his back recently. He is currently bouncing back to health... but just a little post here in my blog on how QQ is enjoying his recuperation :

1) Ahhh...everyday QQ must sit on the swing to enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful garden scenery in our home.

2) QQ also tries to get as much shut-eye as he can. Sleeping is a good form of rest.

3) QQ gets plenty of love and affection in the forms of hugs and kisses from mummy

4) QQ must also open his mouth for mummy to check his tongue and throat daily.

5) Lastly, QQ gets spa treatment to make his recuperation as comfortable as possible

CATS in noodles!

Ahh... Cup noodles... this particular one has been given to me by a friend who purchased it from Hong Kong. Looks kinda cute, i gotta admit... but its looks doesn't give me any confidence that it'll be tasty. By the way, this one is seafood-flavoured... or so the package says anyway.

Ehhh apa ini??? There are cats in there! OMG, they labelled it wrongly. It should've been written as Kitty-flavoured. I was laughing so hard when i saw the kitty flakes.

Add a little hot water, let it settle down for 3 minutes, and it's ready for consumption. I still couldn't get over the Kitty... HAHAHA..... Frosty was eyeing me while i was eating, probably cursing me for eating CATs.
