Beauty World Plaza is a very '80s kind of building, in Upper Bukit Timah area. Within it are also shops which were stuck in that era. It gives me the 'Teruntum' vibe, with the tacky floor to the tacky clothes it is selling. I just wonder how the tenants survive there and who the target market is? Certainly not the rich tai-tais staying in Bukit Timah?
Harbourfront went through a major overhaul few years ago. The business starts booming again after the reopening and especially with the link to Vivocity, people start coming back here. Most of the patrons here are mostly tourist, who are here to board the ferry or on their way to Sentosa.
Iluma in Bugis is really one of a kind. It's striking exterior could be seen from miles away. I kinda enjoy shopping here cos nobody ever hangs in there. It is one of those shopping malls with bad fengshui, i think. The shops aren't half bad, but people are just not coming. Been wanting to try the cinema upstairs, Film Garde, but so far no chance yet :)
Paragon in Orchard is not the kind of place for me. It sells branded, expensive stuff, so expect shops like Prada, Miu Miu etc. to be in here.I always walk in and out without spending anything here, a little too atas for me...
Ahhhh....Sembawang Shopping Centre near my house. It's like i know every single shop here. It is abit out of the way so the crowd is really thin here. The management tried very hard, like providing shuttle buses from several different MRT stations ( Sembawang, Woodlands and Yishun) but shops here still go bust and change hands all the time.
