Apolo Banana Leaf

I never really had Indian food in Singapore. The last Indian cuisine i had was in Bradford in UK last year. And this time me and a bunch of friends decided to head to Little India to try out the famous Apolo Banana Leaf Restaurant.

We went for an early dinner and the place was half empty. However, later the crowd trickled in and the majority are tourists and the others are local or oversea Indians.

Some papadam as appetiser before our order. I've always been a fan, it's crunchy and has a nice bite to it.

Ever since my brilliant mango lassi (Yoghurt drink) in Bradford, i always try to order one if it's on the menu. Definitely you can find one in an authentic Indian restaurant. Apolo serves quite a mean and think mango lassi. The mango flavour was very rich too!

We ordered a small size fish head curry. The curry was spicy!! And the it was rich with herb too. The fish was fresh and the portion really big for us to finish.

When they serve the white rice, it comes with 3 side vegetarian dishes too.

We ordered some butter naans and also garlic naans. I didn't try the garlic ones, but the naans are pretty nice, though nothing different from other places.

Lastly, this is our Tandoori chicken. Wah, we were already so stuffed and still had to shove this down our throats. Gosh, it was torture....haha...
