After the major renovation to our office building last year, i was roped into the Grand Reopening Committee who helped organise this event for our company. Among those invited are our customers and suppliers. We initially planned for a on-site event but the logistics details were a nightmare due to having to prepare hundreds of Jurong Island passes for everyone.
The theme for the night was of course 'Blue', in line with our company's launch of Blue Technology AKA cold processing. Swiss Merchant Court hotel specially concocted this blue drink on our behalf, for our toast.
The menu of the night was a full Western dinner, with wine.
Each committee member was assigned a special duty, mine was the Receptionist. Every single VIP and nobodies who entered was ushered to my table for attendance taking. The event promptly started after everyone in the main table has arrived.
We ordered one crate of Rose Champagne, with bottles and bottles of red and white wine. We had so much leftover that i was able to bring 2 bottles of white wine home.
There! That guy on the left is Mr Hia, the boss who had been so kind to me for 6 years. One of the best, easy-going and lenient boss in the whole wide world. Trust me, i'm saying this from the bottom of my heart, and he doesn't read my blog. Haha... the plump man on the right is Dave, my new boss. He's a jolly Australian...and i'll be getting to know him more, i guess.
