My bestie QQ loves being the center of attention. He looks so tiny with me holding him huh?

I adore this pic, notice his pink little tongue sticks out a little as if giving me a gentle lick. And he still refuses to look at the camera.

Once you hold him for over the optimum time, he starts to fidget around, being impatient.

 

You just need to distract him or sternly call out his name and he will stay still and look at the camera, for a fraction of a second :P

宝贝 Puffy & 宝贝 QQ

While i was in Kuantan, i got some shots of the dogs back at home. QQ enjoys his afternoon runs in the garden and sometimes stops for a short breeze.

Puffy used to be the craziest dog, but now she's all cuddly and such a good companion. See how she enjoys being hugged by closing her eyes? Heehee...

One of her favourite phrases is 'Kai Kai' which means to go out. She loves sitting in the car, even though it might only be for a short trip out. She looks like she's smiling.

QQ decided to make a fashion statement, that it is the year of the Rabbit!

I always take too many photos with QQ when i'm at home, to the point that he's sick and tired of the lens constantly up his nose :)

Shih Tzu Can't Get Out

Mutts & Mittens

One of my friends, Elin, is a long-term volunteer at Mutts and Mittens. I joined her for one weekend at this place. This place is not a pet shop selling kittens and puppies, rather it is an animal shelter for stray animals, but they do offer adoption options and boarding as well.

Wow... a handsome cat sitting in one of the cat cages. They have so many compartments and each one fits several cats. These cats have huge cages to play in and elevated areas to jump around in.

Each dog gets an area space like this including a sunning area ( see behind the dog) . I think this is a Japanese Shiba, but i think they are typically brown? Perhaps this one has albino, but nevertheless, he looks good. And he was so overzealous when we went into his cage too!

There are a few Golden Retrievers there too and they are just so sweet-natured.

This particular one looks like a real naughty QQ, and he barks a lot too.

These air-conditioned cages are for animals meant for boarding. This magnificent Siamese cat was awake when i visited. Look! They have a small window to peep outside :)

This must be a loner cat in his own kingdom at home. He was staring at us without blinking ever since we walked into the room.

There is a small swimming pool at the end of this building for them to host birthday parties for doggies and the happy dogs will take a dip in the pool.

Gromit's New Fashion Statement

While rummaging through rubbish, Gromit found some spare bubble wraps in some equipment boxes in the office. Hence, he decided that they work perfectly as a floating device should his plane/boat go down some day.

Besides, he also found a small filter in the drawer that might just do the trick as Plaster of Paris if he breaks a leg.

Pets & Plants

Look at this photo of QQ. He's like an angel staring back at you with his innocent, big, brown eyes. If you only knew what's playing in his brain, he's probably figuring out what's the best way to get a big bite out of you....haha...

My father's flowers blooming fiercely in the February sun. Just see how blue the sky was, with the scorching sun and some water, and it's like spring in Malaysia.

I had a similar photo taken of my two baobeis last year, but only in that photo, Puffy was the one with the tongue sticking out.

Every branch of the trees have flowers on them. It's nice to see different colours growing on the same tree... this is our 'Christmas' tree for Chinese New Year...!

Puffy is so well-behaved this days. I merely asked her to 'Sit' and 'Stay' and i could get this picture of her seemingly smiling at my camera.

8 Little Rascals

These are my new friends i got from McDonald's. They created a big hoo-ha by creating the 12 Chinese zodiac animals but excluding the pig ( a cupid stood in replacement). Anyways, they've promised to bring the pig to the market in April. These 8 naughty rascals ( 4 couples) are now sitting with me in my office.

My name is INCI (pronounced Inky). I am named after the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients.... Yes, my master is too absorbed in her work. I am the first and her favourite of all the eight.

Hey there, I am MITI (pronounced as Meaty). I am INCI's partner, with MITI being a Japanese number given to their substances there. I am the only one in the collection with shaggy hair!

Top (monkey) is the cheeky Xabi, his namesake is the ex-Liverpool player Xabi Alonso. The naughty monkey is sitting on the smiley and friendly horse, Dobi.

*twinkle*.... I am the tiger whom master didn't buy, but after the week offering my sales were over, she happened to find a McDonald's still with me in stock! She was so happy and bought me. By the way, my name is Vodka, nice to meet you!

This smiling imbecile is master's 2nd favourite because he is so cheery. His black and white patterns are just too adorable for words and check out that smile. His name is Vanilla, Vodka's partner.

I am 小太陽, the doggie. Master named me after a friend's friend who drives a Nissan Sunny. Haha...

Hey ya all! I am the cutie chick! My name's 大丁丁. I happen to be doggie's best mate, i am named after master's good friend.

Pup in Boots

Today marked a special milestone in QQ's book of achievement. He put on his nice little shoes for the first time. Despite the initial resistance, he relented and was taking very tentative steps. He was sauntering around like a clown and induced so much laughter in the family.

After warming up, we brought QQ out to the car porch and garden. Here, he received a kiss from sister, Puffy....awwwww isn't that sweet?

The next level was to walk out on public roads. After mastering the act of walking on shoes, QQ became his naughty self again and was pulling on the leash like a crazed monster.

Mama decided that ENOUGH was ENOUGH and promptly carried him home.

Alamak...holes in his new shoes! Mama fixed them by sewing the loose bits back. The family decided that QQ should only be wearing shoes in the garden and has been forbidden to go out ever again !

小草

Hello! As you all should know by now, my name is QQ. For some reasons, my owners were bored and decided to braid my EARS... My daddy said that i bore a strong resemblance to kingdom servants in the past, and so sis An An gave me a new name : 小草.

Heeheeheehee.... 小草 looked as if he was grinning at the camera....

Hmmm....when An An was young, her hair was tied up exactly the same way!

I bet QQ was trying to look cute to impress this cute girl, Baby! Baby stays in Melaka but if there's a chance they shall be introduced to each other. Imagine the cute babies they'll produce!

Choco Cat Cafe

After some crazy shopping for close to 3 hours, we headed to this place which i had requested to go : 阿貓地攤, Choco Cat Cafe at Causeway Bay ( So many C's ). It was tucked away in an old building in the middle of all those shopping centers.

The place was cozy but already filled with people, mostly cat lovers who were gawking at all the cats.

Besides having free-roaming cats, they also have various cat memorabilias collected from many places. Every corner of the shop was decorated with cat-related accessories.

This big, hairy beauty was sleeping comfortably on the counter right at the entrance of the cafe. He was oblivious to all the people who were touching him and taking his photo. When we started rubbing his belly, he even showed his belly to us, a sign that he was feeling very safe and secure.

Of all the 9-10 cats there, this is my absolute favourite! I even gave him a name : Chompy, even though he already has a name. Look at his ears, which flops down like a dog. Only a certain rare breed of cat has ears like that, the Scottish Fold, only their ears are more apparent. So i guess Chompy has a little Scottish Fold blood in him.

The ginger and white cat was earlier performing a ball trick for us, but he got tired soon after and joined his mate sleeping on the memorabilia cupboard.

At this place, food was secondary to the cats. However, the desserts still came with cat motifs, like our order of Milk and Chocolate pudding with Fruit Corn Flakes.

And also our creme brulee and cat cake with strawberry jelly.

They had many other cute foodstuff in their display fridge. Everything looked too nice to be eaten. Ohh...what a great place to be....
