Nyonya Food

What's a trip to Melaka without sampling a good Nyonya meal? There is a street where we are spoilt for choices for Nyonya restaurants. Finally we settled with this place 'Indah Sayang' which both my local colleagues have tried before and said it was worth a try.

One otah for each of us. The otah was flavourful and spicy at the same time. A good start to our nyonya meal.

We had planned to have Ayam Buah Keluak, the nyonya signature dish. To our disappointment the boss informed us that they have sold out the dish for the night. Therefore, we had to settle for Chicken in Special Sauce. Despite the name, it was nothing special at all lor...

The Assam Prawn was awesome though. The gravy was actually similar to Assam Laksa soup, we almost licked this bowl clean. This dish also came with assorted vegetable in it, making it the highlight of the dinner.

The sambal sweet potato leaves also left a deep impression. The sambal was tasty, and the dish was really appetizing. Well, at least this restaurant scored in 3 dishes out of 4. Good stuff~
